Assessors Name: Harry Dhami Yusuf Ozan Yilmaz
People watch and consume music videos on tv, phones and even websites such as youtube. they can also listen to music on their phone with apps such as Tubidy which allows you to watch the music video and there are also apps like Spotify where you can listen to a song. music is also streamed on tv where popular songs will be up and an example of this could be Luis Fonsi despacito
People start watching and listening to music like this thru big websites such as youtube and it slowly leads onto apps and TVs after it has gained a lot of recognition from the public.Despacito is a really good example because of the fact that it has gained a massive recognition from the public aand it is a really well known song by Luis Fonsi ft Daddy Yankee. consuming and listening to music has cahnged over the past few years because society has gone more modern and technology has developed massively. It went from downloading songs to CDS.MP3 and DVD players to downloading songs onto your smart phone or searching it up on youtube or even watching it on tv. Over the past couple ofe] years, music channels started to open up on youtube where songs will be released where people will check them sites for good songs and examples of youtube channels are LinkUpTv, PressplayMedia, GRMdaily,WORLDSTARHIPHOP etc. on the other hand artists also started to creat channels to release their own songs to their own channels so they get all the income and audience an artist example could be zie zie,
Channels have made music videos change over the years because now you can go onto artists channels and listen and watch their videos whereas before no one was really able to do that because there were no such things as youtube, channels, apps etc there were dvd players where you had to sit at home and listen to your music but now you can literally listen to music everywhere. Music videos are also published on TVs and tv channels such as ITV, BBC, and back in the day, there was no music on tvs as it is like now.
Music videos have increased the income for the record company by their artists and an example of this could be Kid Cudi.
This leaded in fans purchasing the song which started to gain his Record Company money and he increased this by promoting the song in places and events which makes more and more people wanting to purchase that song which then starts to gain/increase the income of TBD and this also applies with his albums e.g. Man On The Moon: The End Of Day album
He was able to sell a total of two million units and this increased TBD'S income because lots of people purchased the album and Music videos have increased the income for the record company by promotion such as Kid Cudi going on tour and promoting his albums.
Taylor Swift promoted her song by having a meaning in the music video because if she didn't have that music video then no one will really understand the meaning of the song and the music video promotes the song by telling a storyand the music.
Music videos are also used to promote a artists album by an artist releasing a single for example Drake when he released a single called I'm Upset
This shows that Taylor has changed and the old one isn't there no more and she promoted a promotion of her change in image by saying that the old her is dead in her newest music video and by acting a lot more harsher and differently to show that she has changed a lot and she will not allow people ashaming her and that she is implying that she is a lot more stronger and more powerful as the new her.
in his music video he says "it's everyday bro, with the Disney Chanel flow" and he is promoting a TV show which was called Bizzardvark
He was featured in and that was a TV program by Disney and he was using his music video to promote a synergy with another media sector which was a TV program by talking about him and Disney also in the same music video he promotes his own merchandise which is called Team 10 Merch by using his merchandise in the music video and by talking about it.
